At the end of this lesson you should be able to :
- Use the Biot-Svart law to calculate the magnetic induction in the vicinity of a current element, and by integration the total magnetic field due a current in a wire of any shape.
- Define the ampere and the coloumb in terms of the magnetic force between parallel current carrying conductors.
- Calculate the magnetic flux therough a surface area placed in a magnetic field.
- Use Amperes law to calculate the magnetic field due to steady current configurations, that have a sufficiently high degree of symmetry.
