At the end of this lesson you should :

• Be able to define the term, electric current, in terms of rate of flow of charge and its corresponding measure the ampere.
• Be able to calculate the drift velocity and quantity of charge passing a point in a given time interval.
• Be able to determine the resistance of a conductor using Ohm's law and be able to distinguish between ohmic and nonohmic materials.
• Be able to make calculations of the variation of resistance with temperature.
• Be able to use Joule's law to calculate thge power dissipated in a resistor.
